Renovation of the La Truchère Lock: Supply of Hydraulic Cylinders
As part of the restoration work on thelock de La Truchère (71), située sur la Seille à proximité de la Saône, Voies Navigables de France (VNF) a entrepris le remplacement complet des portes d’écluse. La modernisation de cet ouvrage hydraulique répond à des enjeux importants de sécurité, de fiabilité et de pérennité des équipements. Les contraintes spécifiques liées au fonctionnement d’une écluse imposent notamment des exigences élevées en matière de résistance mécanique, d’étanchéité, de protection anticorrosion et de durabilité en environnement humide ou immergé.
IVÉA's Expertise in Hydraulic Operation of Lock Gates
To meet the requirements set forth in the Special Technical Specifications (CCTP), IVÉA designed and supplied the equipment needed for the hydraulic operation of the lock gates and sluice gates.
The scope of supply includes, in particular:
- Some hydraulic door leaf cylinders designed to ensure that the lock gates open and close reliably and in a controlled manner.
- Some hydraulic actuators for shutters enabling the control of water flow and contributing to the management of the water level in the lock chamber.
- Autonomous actuation systems designed to meet the specific requirements of hydraulic structures and river environments.
IP68-rated, sealed, self-contained hydraulic cylinders
Immersion constraints and durability requirements led to the selection of high-performance, self-contained hydraulic cylinder technology. This equipment is specifically designed for applications requiring high resistance to environmental conditions.
Enhanced IP68 waterproofing: Designed to operate under conditions of permanent immersion, these self-contained hydraulic cylinders incorporate components engineered to withstand the stresses associated with exposure to water and outdoor environments.
Reliability and reduced maintenance: Thanks to their integrated, protected hydraulic power unit, these actuators help minimize the risks associated with leaks and simplify maintenance operations on the lock’s equipment.
Corrosion protection: The use of corrosion-resistant materials, particularly stainless steel, along with appropriate surface treatments, helps ensure that equipment performs better under severe environmental conditions.
